The pendulum swung too far
In recent years, drastic changes to NSW laws have made it very difficult for injured people to get fair compensation. The system is too complex, has too many inconsistencies, barriers on payouts and too few choices. It's time to give the people of NSW a fair and safe community - one where the system doesn't let them down.
Our vision of a fair go for injured people
A uniform approach across all compensation schemes
A person's right to compensation shouldn't hinge on where the injury occurred.
Inconsistencies between the different schemes of personal injury damages in NSW are unfair.
Respect for individuals
Compensation determined by independent judges, not bureaucrats, politicians and insurers
Removal of capricious and unfair tests and procedures
'Thresholds' based on AMA Guidelines are arbitrary and do not reflect the real effect of the injury.
